Research Associate/Senior Research Associate

We are looking for a full-time Research Associate/Senior Research Associate to join our growing Biology team. This individual will utilize their strong lab-based technical expertise to support the company’s drug discovery efforts. We are offering a competitive salary and benefits package for an individual with the following qualifications and experience:


  • In this lab-based position, generate data to support biology efforts and strategic direction for our flagship program and pipeline
  • Carry out cell-based assays including maintaining and plating of cell lines and primary cells
  • Develop and/or implement protocols for cell-based phenotypic read-outs
  • Perform target validation and mechanism of action studies using gene editing techniques (CRISPR/siRNA/shRNA)
  • Apply molecular biology techniques including qPCR, multiplexed expression analysis, Western blot, and ELISA, to quantify mRNA/miRNA and protein levels
  • Evaluate target engagement and viability of small molecule inhibitors in a variety of cell types
  • Support management of outsourced studies and explore pharmacodynamic relationships in ex vivo animal tissue samples
  • Contribute to general laboratory assistance, including lab equipment maintenance, ordering and organizing of supplies
  • Participate in and present results at internal group meetings


  • S./M.S. in cell biology or related field with at least two years of experience in pharma/industry
  • Strong understanding of cancer biology and/or immunology/inflammation
  • Proficient in immortalized cell culture, immune cell culture, and primary cell culture, and familiarity with cancer biology cell-based assays
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Enthusiastic team player, with ability to work among cross-functional disciplines
  • Highly motivated, dependable, self-starter able to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment
  • Willingness to quickly learn and master new techniques in the lab
  • Experience with data analysis software (Excel, GraphPad Prism)
  • Immune-oncology and/or bioinformatics experience is a plus, experience working with in vivo tissue samples is also desirable
